Ray Bossons was a very talented artist who gave his employee's personal Xmas Cards of his own drawing.

1975 Bossons Xmas Card. It reads inside Crossley Hall Farm, near Congleton. A sixteenth century building situated a few miles to the north of the town. This view is from the banks of the Macclesfied Canal looking towards the 1200ft "cloud".  

1978 annual Christmas card sent out by W. Ray Bossons. The 1978 card is taken from a pen drawing, using black ink, by W. Ray Bossons. It is printed on a card measuring approximately 8 1/2 ” by 11 1/2 ”. This card is signed by Ray Bossons. A description of the scene is printed on the back:

“To avoid possible confusion with a recent building development on the other side of the golf course calling itself "The Fairways" we have decided that this is an opportune moment to rename our house "Earlswaie" since it is sited across the ancient route - so, our new address as from 1st February 1979 will be - Earlswaie, Dane-in-Shaw Bank, Congleton, Cheshire  CW12 3PJ"

1986 annual Christmas card sent out by W. Ray Bossons. The 1986 card is taken from the original water colour painting by W. Ray Bossons. It is printed on a card measuring approximately 11 1/4 ” by 8 1/2 ”. This card is signed by Ray  (Bossons). A description of the scene is printed on the back:

“The old town, Menton - French Riviera” 

“Menton claims to be the warmest resort on the Riviera. Sited as it is, almost on France's border with Italy, the picturesque town has a magnificent setting against the background of the Maritime Alps, where they plunge abruptly into the Mediterranean." 

Additional notation on the back reads: “Printed in England, W.M.& Co. Stoke-on-Trent. A private limited edition of 500 copies”.

It is printed on a card measuring approximately 11 1/4 ” by 8 1/2 ”. This card is signed by Ruth, Ray & Jane (Bossons). A description of the scene is printed on the back:

“A view from a balcony of La Voile d'Or, St. Jean Cap Ferrat, France”

 

“The quietest and possibly the most beautiful corner of the Riviera. The Alpes Maritimes dominate the view which looks over the harbour northwards across the Mediterranean to Beaulieu on the Cote d'Azur."

“Villefranche-sur-Mer, French Riviera”

 

“A small Mediterranean seaport on the Cote d'Azur between Nice and Cap Ferrat. A well known haven for cruise liners, with its magnificent back drop of the foot-hills of the Alpes Maritimes, transversed by the three Corniche roadways, which connect the French and Italian Rivieras."

It is printed on a card measuring approximately 11 1/4 ” by 8 1/2 ”. This card is signed by Ray & Jane (Bossons). A description of the scene is printed on the back:

 

“St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Cote d'Azur”

 

“St-Jean itself is a small fishing village - turned resort on the east coast of the peninsular formed by Cap Ferrat, lying between Nice and Beaulieu. 

"In the sixth century the hermit Saint Hospice was leading his pious life on the peninsular. In the early part of the sixteenth century the Order of the Knights of St. John temporarily found refuge there. 

"On the distant coastline can be discerned the ancient hilltop-fortress-village of Eze. In 1543 the castle and village was sacked by Barbarossa, a corsair of the Ottoman Emporor, Sultan Selim I."
