The plaque on the left and box was used by paintress Barbara Potts, Ken
Potts wife who worked at the factory for 40 years. She used this plaque to
copy off of for the other Choir pieces she was painting. Note that there
is even spilled paint on the box lid from where she painted at her work
station. She even marked the outside of the box as a "painting sample"
with the initials BP.

paintress mark and date of 1959 are just above the "Z" in Zimbabwe in the
photo.
Plaque has a "P" on rear, for possible paintress 'Proudlove' and letter H

that dates from 1652, Tom Moore's Tavern has a colourful past, thanks to the
Irish poet for whom it's named. Tom Moore visited friends here frequently in
1804 and caused a scandal by writing odes to a local woman who was already
married. |
