1975 Bossons Xmas Card.
It reads inside Crossley Hall Farm, near Congleton. A sixteenth century
building situated a few miles to the north of the town. This view is from
the banks of the Macclesfied Canal looking towards the 1200ft "cloud".

"The Fairways" we have decided that this is an opportune moment to rename
our house "Earlswaie" since it is sited across the ancient route - so, our

with its magnificent back drop of the foot-hills of the Alpes Maritimes,
transversed by the three Corniche roadways, which connect the French and
Italian Rivieras." |

“St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Cote d'Azur”
“St-Jean itself is a small fishing village -
turned resort on the east coast of the peninsular formed by Cap Ferrat,
lying between Nice and Beaulieu.
"In the sixth century the hermit Saint Hospice
was leading his pious life on the peninsular. In the early part of the
sixteenth century the Order of the Knights of St. John temporarily found
refuge there.
"On the distant coastline can be discerned the
ancient hilltop-fortress-village of Eze. In 1543 the castle and village was
sacked by Barbarossa, a corsair of the Ottoman Emporor, Sultan Selim I." |
